Safari in Details
Day 1: Arrival, Reptile village and Kampala historic Tour
This safari starts as soon as you land at the air with a very warm welcome by our expert driver-guide, who will offer you a special space for Briefing, and a glass of Juice, before heading to the reptile village to see the different residents; notably the chameleons, tortoise, and different snake species among others.
After here, you will depart for Kampala; the country’s oldest city for Lunch, followed by a visit to the museums and local markets to purchase a few items needed for the safari. The day ends with a yummy dinner meal and overnight at your hotel around the city.
Day 2: Transfer to Jinja – Itanda falls
Today, you will have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, followed by a transfer to Jinja; Uganda’s newest city, after crossing the lush Mabira forest and the magical Jinja Bridge. a delicious lunch meal will be the first friend around this magnificent city, before heading for a 2-3 hours’ exploration of Itanda Falls; one of the finest tourist destinations in the region, with great adventure and cultural activities; and eye-catching sceneries. The end of the day sunset drive takes you to the Hotel for dinner and nap.
Day 3: R. Nile exploration and departure to Sipi falls
After a splendid breakfast at the lodge, you will head for a Nile experience. such as a boat cruise to the source of the Nile (the longest river on earth); Photography by the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi; sightseeing and several other unforgettable activities for about 3-4 hours.
Thereafter, you will enjoy lunch by the beautiful Nile gardens, before hitting the road on a 4-5 hours’ drive to Kapchorwa; home to Sipi falls, as well as the base of the giant Mount Elgon. Arrival will be late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Mount Elgon adventure and Sipi falls tour in the evening
You will start this day with a yummy breakfast, followed by an amazing hike to the lower slopes of the giant Mountain Elgon; while enjoying the views of coffee plantations, primates, mammals, as well as the rolling Hills. The guided walk may last for about 4 hours before a lunch break.
Thereafter, you will proceed to glance at the breathtaking Sipi falls, and listening to its thundering sounds as you swim, take photos and ask questions. You will then call off this day with an epic drive to the lodge for dinner and a nap.
Day 5: Depart Mount Elgon for Kidepo Valley via Nyero rock paintings
After Breakfast, you will set off with a long hour drive to Kidepo national park; the true wilderness in Africa, and one of the most eye-catching landscapes, and a concentration of wildlife species. You will pass via the famous Ancient Nyero rock painting left behind during the stone age error, with no translations of the words inscribed.
Thereafter the journey continues via the busy streets, local homesteads of the Karamojong people, and undulating Hills. You will have a mouth-watering lunch enroute while arriving at the park late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Full day Game drive
All the hours of this day will be spent in the different corners of Kidepo valley national park; seeking to find the different residents here notably the buffaloes, elephants, ostriches, egrets, lion, different antelope species, lovebirds, monkeys, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, and leopards among others.
There will be a Lip-smacking bush breakfast and a yummy Lunch meal, before returning to lodge at sunset for the last meal of the day, campfire, and a night of peaceful sleep.
Day 7: A visit to the IK people
On this day; you will an energy-giving cup of coffee, and a glance at the breathtaking Narus Valley via the Apoka viewpoint. Thereafter, you will have a 3-4 hours’ drive to the IK people; a group believed to be the true and original Uganda’s, with no trace of Migration.
They are foreign to modernity and have a lifestyle similar to that of the Karamojong and the Maasai in Kenya and Tanzania. You will have a village tour, dances and songs in the 5-6 hours of interactions. we encourage you to support the community financially or by buying a few of their souvenirs, before returning to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Departure
After days of surprises and fun, you will have an early morning relaxed breakfast, before checking out of the lodge for a rewarding 8-9 hours’ drive to Kampala or Entebbe airport for departure, after an en-route mouthwatering lunch meal.
