Within only 5 days, you will cover two remarkable destinations in the western part of Uganda: Queen Elizabeth national park (a medley of wonders); the most visited destination in the country, as well as Lake Mburo national park, engaging in several activities such as game drive with hopes of encountering any of the 4 of the big 5 mammals, notably lions, leopards, buffaloes or elephants; Boat cruise in the crocodile infested Kazinga channel; photography; cultural adventure at Igongo and nature walk. Comfort, fun, and new encounters are the trip highlights.
Day 1: Pickup, Reptile Village tour and depart to Lake Mburo National Park
This being your first day of the 5days safari, the first thing will be meeting with our company representative at the greed point and time for the Trip. He will brief you about the uniqueness of this trip, before visiting the reptile Village for 1-2 hours, while you sight different rescued reptiles, notably snakes, chameleons and tortoises among others.
Thereafter, you will head for lunch in Kampala city, before hitting the road on a 3-4 hours’ drive to Lake Mburo national park, while enjoying the beautiful views of the landscape as well as the majestic long-horned Ankole cows. Upon arriving in the park, you will have to relax while waiting for dinner and eventually a nap
Day 2: Morning Game Viewing and Igongo Cultural Center
Off your bed to the dining table early in the morning, before enjoying a 3-4 hours’ game viewing around the savanna decorated Lake Mburo national park. Though there are no predators such as lions and leopards in this place; lookout for the impalas, Uganda Kobs, Buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, Ankole long-horned cows and warthogs among others; Birds such as the crested cranes; unique tree species and a remarkable landscape.
After this, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an amazing evening spent at Igongo cultural center where all the cultures and treasures of western Uganda are showcased in an onsite museum. A quality evening, you have dinner and a lovely night to end the day.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wakeup from you slumber like a king and have a simple guided walk around the rewarding routes are the park, drawing closer to the mammals and flora. Thereafter, you will congratulate yourself with a cup of coffee, before checking out of the lodge for an epic 4-5 hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, with an enroute lunch hour stopover.
The route to the park is decorated with homesteads, beautiful buildings, unmatched vegetation, and undulating hills. Upon arriving at the lodge, relax as you wait for dinner and a nap.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive and launch trip
After a mothering breakfast, you will join the driver guide for a 3-4hour game drive around the different corners and hideouts of the mammals, with expectations of encountering the different residents here, notably the mammals; lions, leopards, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, giraffes, and warthogs among others; Birds such as the crested cranes, love birds and Rwenzori Turaco, but not forgetting the fascinating savanna grasslands, unique tree species and photographic landscape.
After the game drive, you will be driven back to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon exploration at the famous Kazinga channel. You will get exposed to numerous schools of hippos, water birds, crocodiles and several mammals quenching their thirst at the shoreline. You will sum up this day at the lodge with refreshment, dinner and a peaceful sleep like a king / queen.
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a scenic drive to the airport for your flight, while traversing busy streets and glancing at flourishing vegetation, besides the landscape. A brief stopover at the equator will enable you to witness and know what an equator line is, take amazing photos and enjoy a mouthwatering lunch meal.
