You will not want to miss such an amazing offer; a 3 days wildlife safari in Murchison falls N/Park. This is the largest park and oldest in Uganda as well as home to the most powerful waterfall in the world. This is probably one destination not to miss in the world, because, besides the waterfall, wildlife is abundant; inclusive of mammals such as the lions, leopards, buffalos, Uganda Kobs, several antelope species and elephants among others; birds such as shoebill stock, created cranes and many more; and tree species such as the whistling acacia.
You will engage in different activities from day one to the end; namely; tracking the only Rhinos present in the country at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, game drive in the northern sector, Photography, Top of the falls hike, and Boat cruise the bottom of water falls. The journey starts and ends in Entebbe but through the guidance of an expert knowledgeable driver-guide.
Day 1: Pickup and Drive to Murchison Falls NP
Upon landing at the airport; meet our expert driver-guide for a briefing and a glass of Juice, before commencing with a 5-6 hours’ drive to Murchison falls national park; the largest national park and home to the most powerful waterfalls in the world.
You will have a one-hour Rhino tracking experience at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, before traversing the busy towns, undulating hills, and flourishing plantations. Lunch will be in any town while in the journey, before proceeding to the lodge for refreshment, dinner, and a nap
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise
After having a yummy breakfast, drive to the different corners of the northern sector for about 3-4 hours in search of the different residents either resting, hunting, or grazing. The parks Unique pasture is home to mammals notably buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, waterbucks, Jackson hartebeests, Uganda Kobs, Lions, and leopards among others; Birds such as the crested cranes, Egyptian geese, lovebirds, and the sought after shoebill stock among others; and Unique tree species such as the whistling acacia. In line with the Beautiful landscape and the crystal clear waters, you will have fun in the wild, though spotting the lions and leopards are not a must.
After the game drive, you will drive back for lunch, before heading for an afternoon 2-3 hour boat cruise at the Nile river to the bottom of the falls; while encountering several residents here such as the giant Nile crocodiles, hippos, birds, and several mammals quenching their thirst.
You will have also watch the thundering waterfalls as it squeezes itself through a 7-meter gorge to the Nile. Take as many photos as possible before returning to the lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 3: Top of the Falls visit and Departure
After enjoying a hefty breakfast early in the morning, you will cross to the south in case you are in the north for a very rewarding 1-2 hours’ top of the falls visit; an experience that keeps your feet while traversing lush vegetation and undulating hills. Upon arriving at the top of the most powerful waterfalls on earth, Murchison falls, expect to witness the bubbles; listen to the deafening sound and take amazing photos.
The area has a permanent rainbow that is clearly seen on a sunny day, but not ignoring other falls such as the magnificent Uhuru falls. After exploring the place, you embark on a 5-6 hours’ drive to Entebbe international airport for a flight. An enroute stopover for lunch will be in the city.
