Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kidepo Valley
Meet our lovely driver guide at either the airport or any other meeting point for briefing and the start of this remarkable kidepo valley national park safari. The trip starts with a briefing on the different aspects of the trip, before embarking on the 8-9 hours’ scenic drive, with an en-route Lunch stopover at the newly created Gulu city.
This marram and tarmac drive gives you an opportunity of watching several captivating sceneries such as the magnificent building, rolling hills and scattered Karamojong homesteads among others. Park arrival is late in the evening for dinner and nap.
Day 2: Game Viewing and Cultural adventure
At day crack, you will head to Apoka Viewpoint to spot the mammals as they rise for the day’s duty, the breathtaking landscape, as well as a captivating sunrise, before breakfast, and a 3-4 hours’ game drive across the vast Narus valley. With an abundance of flora and fauna, chances are that you will encounter different mammals such as Lions, leopards, elephants, Buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and several antelope species; Birds such as the geenefowls, ostriches, and egrets among others; and Primates such as monkeys.
Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for refreshment, and a mouth-watering Lunch before visiting the Karamojong community right around the park. These are one of the few cultures on in the world with untouched cultural beliefs and performances. They dance, sing, and have very exciting stories for all visitors who visit for 2-3 hours. Feel free to donate and buy a few souvenirs present, before returning to the lodge for dinner and a nap.
Day 3: Departure back to Kampala
After a yummy breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for an 8-9 hours’ drive to Entebbe international airport or Kampala for a nap. The drive has a lunch stopover, and a mixture of scenic undulating Hills, flourishing plantations and amazing infrastructure along the way.
