This trip takes you to Uganda (the pearl of Africa), Rwanda (land of a thousand hills), Tanzania (land of Kilimanjaro, Serengeti and Zanzibar) and then to the historical Zanzibar island; a wonder world, for game viewing, boat cruise, beach experience, cultural encounter, chilling and hiking among others.
Day 1: Arrival and Kigali Tour
`Upon landing at Kigali international airport, our expert driver guide will welcome you for this amazing 15 days holiday. He will brief you on what to expect and how to behave in the different countries during the trip, before heading for lunch if your arrival is in the morning.
Thereafter, you will visit the Local markets to buy a few items, as well as exchange the money to local currency, before heading to the genocide memorial site to watch documentaries and pay tributes to over 250,000 innocent people who lost their lives in the Tutsi and Hutu ethnic conflict. Dinner and a peaceful sleep come last.
Day 2: Depart to Nyungwe national park
You will check out of the lodge after breakfast for a 4-5 hours’ drive to Nyungwe national park, a primate wild with over 13 unique primate species, though dominated by the chimpanzees.
The drive passes through a very scenic route which offers one a chance of enjoying breath taking landscapes, undulating hills, green vegetations and the locals waving with joy. An enroute lunch stop at a certain point of the journey, then evening arrival at your accommodation in or around the park, proceeding for dinner and an overnight sleep.
Day 3: Chimp tracking and canopy walk
Your third day will start with an early morning breakfast, before heading to the parks headquarters for registration and briefing by the park rangers who will give trekking guidelines and other information before entering the park for a track that last for about 1-6 hours, depending on one’s speed and where the primates have gone. Chimpanzees are humans’ closest relatives (cousins) with over 98% human DNA and behavior though spend their life in the wild; on the tree tops and occasionally at the ground. This Jungle is also home to other primates, birds, reptiles and unique tree species that you will encounter during the search. Upon locating the creatures, one extra hour is given to have a deeper understanding of these relatives and taking photos and then a lunch break thereafter.
In the afternoon, you will have an unforgettable canopy walk experience which gives you a chance of enjoying amazing views, birds and the landscape among others before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After breakfast, you will depart Nyungwe national park for Uganda; A 4-5 hours’ drive, through breath taking landscape, cool climate and plantations, yet not forgetting the magnificent boaderpost where you will stop to get some documents to Uganda.
Thereafter, another stopover will be for lunch, before proceeding to the lodge for an overnight rest after dinner.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies
At day break, you will have an energy giving breakfast meal, before joining your colleagues at the parks headquarters for document verification and a pretrekking briefing by the park rangers. They will breakdown the dos and don’ts while with the Apes, and allocate you to the Gorilla group of your choice, before offering company in quest for the Gentle Apes; an exercise that can last for about 1-6 hours, plus one hour for asking questions, taking photos and watching them closely.
Thereafter, you will return for Lunch and relaxation, before visiting the Batwa communities in the evening for fun, traditional performances and stories among others. Batwa are hunters and gatherers relocated from though forest to create space for wildlife conservation. They stand to have strong traditional beliefs, though reported to be among the shortest people in the country. Diner and a nap is the last activity.
Day 6: Depart to Queen Elizabeth national park via Ishasha
You will start this day with a mouth watering cup of coffee, followed by a transfer to queen Elizabeth national park (Uganda’s most visited conservation area), Via its Ishasha sector where you stand a chance of spoting the tree climbing lions resting at the tree branches during the 2-3 hour game drive.
After a game drive, you will have lunch at the sector, and then proceed with a scenic drive to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Morning game drive and boat cruise
For 3-4 hours after breakfast, you will be in the company of your guide in the vast savanna grassland for game drive; looking out for the different residents grazing, hunting, or resting in their different territories.
Chances are that you will spot lions or leopards, besides the commonly seen such as the Buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, zebras, giraffes, and different antelope species among others, but not ignoring the eye-catching landscape, several bird species, reptiles, primates and unique tree species among others.
Thereafter, you will have an amazing lunch break, before an afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel, where you will feed your eyes with the image of crocodiles and hippos among others, before driving back to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful sleep.
Day 8: Transfer to Arusha
at sunrise, you will have a splendid breakfast meal, followed by a rewarding drive to Entebbe international airport, from where you will take an epic flight to Arusha – Tanzania.
Upon arriving at Arusha, meet our expert company representative who will brief and take you to your hotel for a delicious dinner meal and a nap.
Day 9: Head to Serengeti national park
Upon finishing your breakfast at the lodge, your drive to Tanzania top driver destination and a host to the annual wildebeest migration commences, first with Arusha city tour, and early Lunch, followed by a 5-7 hours’ epic drive to the northern part of the country, through a smooth route marked by unique plantation, and undulating Hills.
You will arrive at the lodge in the evening with a rewarding wildlife views. You will have peaceful refreshment, as well as dinner and an overnight sleep.
Day 10: Full Day Game drive
Today, breakfast comes first, followed by a drive to the Seronera plains in search for the prey vultures, and predators resting, feeding or even hunting. With no interruptions, you will be able to identify the color, sound, and size of the different residents such as the wildebeests, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, gazelles and warthogs, besides the lions, cheetahs, hyenas and leopards which require luck to find them.
Besides the mammals, the magnificent water bodies, plantations, birds, primates, and captivating landscape contributes greatly to your memories by the time of having a sunset drive to the lodge for a nap and dinner.
Day 11: Maasai cultural adventure and departure to Ngorongoro conservation area
A happy breakfast meal starts this day, followed by a remarkable cultural experience with the Maasai people; who will dance, sing and tell you different interesting stories, besides visiting the Manyattas. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for Lodge before having a 3-4 hour drive to Ngorongoro conservation area for dinner and a nap.
Day 12: Top of the crater hike and Game drive
You will start this day with a tasty energy giving breakfast meal, followed by a top of the crater hike to explore the world’s largest unbroken a caldera and one of Africa’s natural wonders. This experience also gives you’re a chance of admiring the beautiful landscape, glancing at the mammal hideouts and taking amazing photos at this natural wonder.
Thereafter you will have an amazing picnic lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive to the different corners of the park known for harboring the mammals, primates, and Birds among others. This is home to the largest concentration of ungulates and Africa’s big 5 namely lions, Buffalos, leopards, Rhinos and elephants, besides the cheetahs, warthogs, wild dogs among other. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13: Fly to Zanzibar island – stone town tour
After having a tasty cup of coffee, you will check out of the lodge for a 3-4 hours’ scenic drive to the airport, to fly to fascinating Zanzibar Island. Upon landing at the airport, you will meet our company representative who will brief you about the Island, before proceeding for Lunch, and then a tour around the Historical stone town decorated with ancient landmarks and building left behind by the Arabs and British who governed the place during the slave trade error.
The wonder house, cathedrals, local markets and the Museum will be among the places to visit before heading to the hotel for dinner and a peaceful sleep.
Day 14: Full day Beach experience
Swimming with the dolphins, photography, chilling by the sea shores, boat ride, and diving are among the activities you will engage in for the whole day while chilling by the calm waters of the great Indian Ocean and the white sands. Lunch is at the Beach, whereas dinner will be at your lodge late in the evening.
Day 15: Spice plantation visit and departure
Today, you will enjoy your breakfast before visiting the plantation of spices that have made Zanzibar island so famous. An early arrival at the plantation will see you follow the farmers to the different areas as they climb trees to pick the fruits so as to explain to you before giving you a taste, such as coconut, ginger, lipstick, and many more. Thereafter, a few dances and hospitality to honor your visit, before you exit for Lunch and a drive to the airport for your flight.
End of the safari
